The purpose of this experimental study is to study whether Onkyungtang is effective or not on preventing
24 rats were divided into 4 groups, administered physiological saline after sham operation group(sham-op. group), administered physiological saline after avariectomy group(control group), administered Onkyungtang 0.1g/100 g and gellatin 0.04g/l00g after ovariectomy group(sample A), administered Onkyungtang 0.025 g/l00 g and gellatin 0.01 g/l00g after ovariecfomy(sample B).
The body weight, utetus weight, esrradiol, asteocalcin, traveculae area and iNOS area in distal ponion femur.
1. The medicine controls weight gains due to ovariosteresis
2 . Amount of estradiol in sera is not increased.
3. Due to not to be inmased quantity of ostwcalcin in sera, it is not function of osteoblast to be flourishing.
4. According to survey with a microscope, trwecdae area is remarkably increased. Thus, a group to be provided a higher degree of density increase more bony density.
5. The iNOS somewhat strongly showed with osteoblmt and osteoid tissue to all ovariosteresis groups compared to sham operation groups.
As the above mentioned results, it is believed that Onkyungtatang is effective to preventing ostecpxosis.
